GM’s New Equinox EV for Sale in 2025

Go City Chevy offers a well-rounded experience. It’s efficient, roomy for passengers, not offensively styled and offers excellent battery range at a reasonable price point. Plus, it’s available with front- or all-wheel drive and GM’s impressive Super Cruise system for semi-autonomous hands-free driving.

Despite launching just last year, the 2025 Equinox EV already looks like a strong alternative to a growing field of competitors. For starters, its 213-horsepower front-wheel-drive model is rated by the Environmental Protection Agency for 319 miles on a full charge and its all-wheel-drive variant can do up to 285. That’s more than enough to get most people from point A to point B without having to stop to top off the batteries.

Best Equinox EV Deals for 2025 Buyers

The Equinox EV feels big and spacious inside with gigantic instrument and infotainment displays and seating for five. The driving position is comfortable and controls are easy to reach, making the Equinox a pleasant car to spend time in for long trips.

One of the coolest features is the ability to activate brake energy regeneration by pressing a button near the steering wheel. It works a bit differently than traditional regenerative braking because the system can sense when you want to speed up or slow down. You can also set it to only operate if the car needs to come to a complete stop.

The Equinox EV starts at $34,995 including destination, and is eligible for the $7,500 federal EV tax credit. Even after that, it costs thousands less than a Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, or Tesla Model Y and is only slightly more expensive than the smaller Hyundai Kona EV.
